Day Care Mission Statement
Since our beginning in 1969, The Salvation Army London Village Day Nursery remains committed to families by providing licensed Christian child care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children in east London.
We understand that families are the primary decision makers for their child.
Our professionally trained staff plan and implement play environments that are not only safe and healthy but also will stimulate and challenge curiosity, independence, self-esteem and decision-making capabilities. By exposing children to social experiences and interaction with others
they will develop friendships, learn about turn-taking, respect for others and acquire effective communication skills.
We believe in celebrating and respecting diversity and inclusion. By working with families and community partners we will identify and support the family and child's individual needs.
We provide full-time care for children 3 months - 30 months of age and full or part-time care for children 31 months - 6 years of age. Programs for children 6 - 12 years are offered for PA Days, March Break, Christmas Break, and summer.
Our staff are graduates of an Early Childhood Education Program or are receiving Early Childhood Education Training. Our Early Childhood Educators are also members in good standing in the College of Early Childhood Educators.
