Child Care Centre

Program overview
About Us
The Salvation Army’s Child Care Centre, established in 1967, is licensed by the Ministry of Education, and operates under the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014. Our centre participates in the Canada Wide Early Learning and Child Care Program (CWELCC) which was initiated in March 2022.
Child Care Programs
Our full-time inclusive centre offers full time care for 12 infants (0-18 months), 30 toddlers (19 months to 30 months) and 64 preschoolers (31 months to 4 years) from 7:30 am – 5:30 pm Monday to Friday.
A day in our child care program would include indoor and outdoor play, nutritious meals and snacks, and opportunities for rest.
Children’s learning, development, health, safety and well-being are important to us. Through play and inquiry-based invitations, children practice ways of learning and interacting with the world around them. Play promotes problem solving, communication, collaboration, creativity, imagination and initiative

School-Age Programs
School – age programs are offered for children kindergarten children (3.8 years) up to 9 years of age, for PD Days, March Break, Christmas and summer from 7:30 am – 4:30 pm.
A day in our school age program would include opportunities for indoor and outdoor play, community outings, and creative activities. Nutritious meals and snacks are provided. During the summer our pool is always a highlight!
