Respite Program
The Salvation Army London Village provides short term respite support to adults and children with intellectual disabilities and their families who reside in London and Middlesex County. All programming is offered on-site at our East London location (corner of Dundas and Highbury).
Program Statement
The Salvation Army London Village Respite Program supports individuals and families by providing respite services that respect the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of participants.

In-centre Respite
The In-Centre program offers short stays with 24-hour staff support. Support is geared to the needs of each participant and includes assistance with personal care and routines of daily living as required. Program staff facilitate a variety of recreation and leisure opportunities for participants to enjoy both on-site and in the community.
Respite services are available for:

Adults (18+ years)
Program fees apply. Adults must access this program through Developmental Services Ontario- South West Region (DSO-SWR).
Day Programs
Day Programs are offered on weekdays for adults who have graduated high school and are looking for opportunities to engage in meaningful activities. Participants develop friendships, learn practical skills and explore leisure interests.
Day Program options are fee-for-service and based on support needs. Programming and support is flexible and can be tailored to meet unique goals.

Passport Management
This service is intended to make managing your Passport funding easier and more convenient. For those who are currently self-administering their funding we can take over that responsibility for you and reduce the stress of paperwork, tracking expenses and submitting claims.
Through this service, we can help with:

Creating an annual budget

Providing support workers

Providing funding balance updates

Submitting eligible receipts for reimbursement

Purchasing approved items or paying for eligible services on your behalf

Additional Programs
Activity Night/ Saturday Hangouts

These recreation programs provide an opportunity for young adults (18+) to engage with peers in a supported social setting while enjoying some structured recreation activities.

Sibling Workshops

These workshops provide recreational and therapeutic activities for children and youth, ages 6-13, who have a sibling with special needs. They are designed to offer opportunities for siblings to meet other siblings in a supportive setting while enjoying games, crafts, gym time, discussions and more.

There is no cost, but pre-registration is required.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Programming
These programs are for children/youth between the ages of 5-17 years who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Saturday Program is offered on designated Saturdays throughout the year. Program staff facilitate a variety of leisure activities both on-site and in the community. Registration fees apply.
Summer Teen Camp is offered for 6 weeks in the summer. Campers engage in recreation opportunities and community excursions. Camp fees apply.

PA Days
Get ready for PA Days where fun, friendship, and fabulous memories come together!
PA Days provide a full day of engaging activities, games, crafts, and outdoor adventures designed to keep teens active, involved, and excited to learn. Our experienced staff create a safe and welcoming environment, offering a variety of activities throughout the village, including gym sports, crafts, games, and access to our Snoezelen and games rooms.
Programs are tailored to participants’ interests and offer meaningful opportunities to connect with peers and build new friendships. P-Yay Days at the Village not only give teens a fun and enriching experience, but also provide families with dependable, high-quality care they can trust
Program Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Program Fee $87.50 per participant
Support is provided at a 1:4 staff-to-participant ratio. If your family member requires additional support, please contact us to discuss available options and associated fees.

Snoezelen
Our multi-sensory environment provides a relaxing space that helps reduce agitation and anxiety while engaging users, stimulating the senses and encouraging communication. Our room is open to the community for personal use. Training is required prior to the first visit and user fees apply.
